Alveopora Corals are closely related to Goniopora and share a similar flower-like appearance with long, extended polyps. Alveopora can grow into large colonies over time, creating a beautiful focal point in your reef tank.
Alveopora thrives in low to medium lighting and medium water flow, which helps to keep the polyps extended and healthy. Like many corals, it relies on photosynthesis via its zooxanthellae, but supplemental feeding of plankton or coral foods may be necessary if the coral is not thriving or showing signs of stress. Regular feeding can help promote healthy growth and vibrant coloration, especially in tanks with lower nutrient levels or less intense light.
