Xenia Coral, also known as Pulse Coral, is famous for its mesmerizing pulsing movement. Its small polyps sway gently in the water, creating a dynamic and attractive display in any reef tank. Xenia typically appears in colors ranging from bright white to pink or purple, depending on the species. It’s easy to care for and grows quickly, making it an ideal choice for both beginner and advanced reef keepers.

Xenia thrives in low to moderate lighting and low to medium water flow, which encourages its unique pulsing behavior and helps keep it healthy. While it relies on photosynthesis through its symbiotic zooxanthellae, Xenia will also benefit from occasional feedings of small plankton or coral foods, especially in nutrient-poor tanks.

This coral is peaceful and can be placed near other non-aggressive species without risk of stinging or competition. However, Xenia can spread rapidly and may overtake nearby areas, so it’s important to provide ample space for it to grow and keep an eye on its growth rate.
