About this coral
2.5" in diameter, WYSIWYG and farmed by WWC! Our mother shroom is shooting off babies, how cool is that?!? And this is one of our very first completely grown in house babies! We love this stuff!
Think of every shade of the rainbow can be found in this Carpet Mushroom! Now here's the cool fact about Carpet Mushrooms, they grow and grow and grow! We have had several grow to around 9" in diameter! So if you would like a gigantic mushroom to take up a lower section of reef, this is the shroom for you! Make sure to place this mushroom low, like super low in your reef (less than 100 par), with low flow. We also recommend target feeding it once per week, and if you do you'll be overjoyed to see it start to grow more quickly and eventually bud off and spread out in all directions! The trick with feeding Mushroom Corals is to hold a piece of meaty food in place with a pair of tweezers until the Mushroom grabs a hold of the food. And once the mushroom grabs onto it you will then be able to watch the cool process of the mushroom slowly closing up around the piece of food. It’s awesome to watch! Just like everything in reefing, be patient and you will be amazed at what transpires!
