Yahara Corals is a non-profit small coral propagation and research company based in Madison, WI, named after the river that connects our chain of lakes. Research focus is currently geared towards DNA taxonomy methods and gene regulation. Money received from coral sales is used for operation, new coral acquisition from partnered wholesalers, and research costs. We operate at a net revenue loss. 90% of the corals sold are aquacultured (frags of new skeleton growth in our systems)…the remaining are corals that are not amenable for aquaculture (single polyp LPS for example) or the occasional donation of aquacultured coral colonies that are fragged and sold (not grown by us). All corals (import or donation) go through a 6 week QT period with weekly dips and well as fenbenazole and interceptor treatments. $50 minimum order to ship If colony image is displayed first, look at the additional photos for frag image. Mystery frags are those frags cut that cannot be traced 100% to mother colony. There is no free shipping (replacements included) DOA policy: In the event that corals arrive DOA, a replacement or store credit will be issued depending on preference. Images of DOA coral on top of white styrofoam package are required within 3 hours of delivery. DOA policy is void if package(s) are not accepted within 2 hours of delivery.
