GRAFTED Montipora Frag – AQUACULTURED (BLUE VIDEO INSIDE!)

The Grafted Montipora is not only one of our favorite Montipora, but SPS Corals overall! This is a faster growing Montipora that will encrust down onto the frag or rock work at first, then plate outward as it grows. This is a highly sought after SPS coral, and its coloration is easy to see why. Vibrant orange and red blend together perfectly with neon green, creating a unique one of a kind look for each and every frag! Grafted Montipora are a reefing staple, and it’s easy to see why. This is a coral that will stand out under bright blue lighting!

Montipora get the majority of their nutrients through broadcast feeding in the water column and their symbiotic zooxanthellae, but will benefit from occasional spot feeding with finer foods, such as zooplankton and phytoplankton. This Montipora is not considered to be aggressive towards other corals, but will compete for space if need be as it plates outward.
