MELTING POT Montipora Setosa Frag – Aquacultured (Blue Video Inside!)

The Melting Pot Montipora Setosa is a reefing favorite SPS coral! The Melting Pot is a faster growing Montipora Setosa that will encrust down onto the frag or rock work at first, then begin to branch outwards and upwards. Making it a unique and highly desirable Montipora! Another reason as to why it is so highly sought after, is its incredible coloration.

This Aquacultured Setosa is a vibrant, rich, solid orange coloration that really pops compared to other similar SPS corals. The Melting Pot Montipora Setosa, while primarily solid orange, can develop streaks of deep green as it grows. Making for an awesome contrast in coloration! This is a coral that will stand out under bright blue lighting!

All Montipora get the majority of their nutrients through broadcast feeding in the water column and their symbiotic zooxanthellae, but will benefit from occasional spot feeding with finer foods, such as zooplankton and phytoplankton. This Montipora Setosa is not considered to be aggressive towards other corals, but will compete for space if need be as it encrusts.
