The Convict Chalice is an LPS reefing staple in our hobby! Widely considered one of the most famous types of Chalice corals, the Convict is one that is highly desired by collector’s and reef keeper alike. Its bold super neon green base is covered in a network of fine purple lines that follow inward to the eyes. This Echinophyllia Chalice will encrust down onto the frag plug or rock work it is placed on, and grow outward.

The Convict Chalice is notorious for its vibrant glowing under intense blue lighting, standing out amongst the crowd! Chalice get the majority of their nutrients from their photosynthetic zooxanthellae, benefiting from low to moderate lighting and flow. However, occasional spot feeding of finer reef foods such as various supplemental powders, zooplankton, and phytoplankton will only help to propel its growth and coloration!
