Care Guide

Torch corals respond best to stable reef conditions and gentle, indirect water movement that keeps the tentacles swaying without folding or whipping the flesh against the skeleton. Acclimate gradually and leave open space for nighttime sweeper tentacles.

Feeding

Primarily photosynthetic, but may accept small meaty foods one or two times per week. Feed sparingly and do not force food into a retracted polyp.

Placement and Flow

Use enough indirect flow for steady, relaxed tentacle movement without a direct jet. Keep the fleshy polyp clear of sharp rock and give the coral room to expand fully.
