WYSIWYG Purple and Yellow Yuma Mushroom (Approx. 3″)

You are buying the exact coral in the photo: the Yuma that fills the frame. The purple mushroom in the lower left corner is not included. This Yuma is approximately 3″ across. Under blue spectrum reef lighting it has a deep purple base packed with yellow bubble tips. The tips are small and tight around the mouth and get longer toward the rim, where the outer tentacles stretch out with yellow ends. Conditioned in our Key West systems.

About Ricordea Yuma (Ricordea yuma)

Ricordea yuma is an Indo-Pacific mushroom coral, related to the Caribbean Ricordea florida. Instead of a flat disc, its whole surface is built from rounded tips, which gives Yumas their bubbly look. Yellow tips on a purple base is a high-contrast combination that pops under actinic light. At about 3″, this is a full-size polyp with tips covering the whole disc.

Care Guide

Easy care, and a good pick for a first Yuma. It wants stable water more than strong light.

Lighting: Low to Medium — PAR 50–150. In a bright tank, place it lower or in partial shade.
Flow: Low — light, indirect flow keeps the tips open.
Placement: Sandbed or lower rockwork.
Feeding: Low — it is photosynthetic, and it will also take small meaty foods like mysis set on its mouth.
Aggression: Peaceful. Give it a few inches of space so it can spread without touching its neighbors.
Water Parameters: Temp 76–78°F, salinity 1.025–1.026, Alk 8–9 dKH, Ca 420–440, Mg 1300–1400. Stability matters more than exact numbers.
