Care Guide

• Lighting: Medium — PAR 100–200. Acclimate gradually after shipping or a major lighting change.
• Flow: Medium to high, indirect and varied. Good circulation helps the colony shed cleanly.
• Placement: Middle-to-upper rockwork with room for the colony’s mature footprint.
• Compatibility: Leather corals can release terpenes that affect nearby stony corals. Use fresh activated carbon and allow space in mixed reefs.
• Feeding: Direct feeding is generally unnecessary. Stable nutrients and normal reef feeding are usually sufficient.

Leather corals periodically close and shed a glossy surface film. Maintain steady indirect flow and do not peel tissue by hand.
