About Long Tentacle Plate Corals (Heliofungia)

Heliofungia is the anemone-look plate coral — flowing tentacles on a free-living disc. Contrary to popular belief they are very manageable once conditioned; ours have been feeding and extending in our systems for months.

Sand-bed specialist: give it space and meals and it will amaze you.

• Flow: Low.
• Placement: Sandbed ONLY — it moves itself.
• Feeding: High — meaty foods 2–3× weekly.
• Aggression: Semi-aggressive — long reach.
• Water Parameters: Temp 76–78°F, salinity 1.025–1.026, Alk 8–9 dKH, Ca 420–440, Mg 1300–1400. Stability matters more than exact numbers.
