Rainbow Long Tentacle Plate Coral

This Rainbow Long Tentacle Plate Coral is a free-living LPS coral selected for its long, flowing tentacles and multicolor fluorescence under blue reef lighting.

“Long tentacle plate” commonly refers to Heliofungia, but this listing does not assign a species without confirmed provenance. Long-tentacle plates are more delicate than ordinary short-tentacle plate corals. Keep this coral on an open sand bed or fine rubble—never on exposed rockwork—so its expanding tissue is not cut or abraded. Allow room for both full tentacle extension and natural movement.

Care Guide

• Care Level: Intermediate; best in a mature, stable aquarium
• Lighting: Low to moderate (50–120 PAR); begin near the lower end and acclimate slowly
• Flow: Low to moderate, turbulent and indirect
• Placement: Open sand bed or fine rubble only; never sharp rockwork
• Feeding: Offer appropriately sized meaty foods one to two times weekly
• Aggression: Moderately aggressive; keep at least 6 inches beyond fully extended tentacles and recheck spacing if the coral moves
